"Se trata en este artículo de realizar una presentación de la Filosofía del deporte a través del análisis de su origen y desarrollo histórico. Veremos cómo naciendo dentro de la pedagogía a mediados del Siglo XIX, la filosofía del deporte irá evolucionando, pasando por cuatro etapas diversas, hasta llegar al momento actual en que, a mi juicio, es eminentemente filosofía práctica del deporte, o ética del deporte." ["In this article I present the Philosophy of Sport through the analysis of its origin and historical development. We shall see that the Philosophy of Sport emerged in pedagogic circles during the mid nineteenth century and that, through four different stages, it became Practical Philosophy of Sport or Sport Ethics, which is the prevailing paradigm nowadays."]
