Abstract
["Is Skinner’s proposal of a science of behavior as the producer of a technoscience capable of promoting predictability and control of social life applicable to the society of unpredictability and to the open subjectivity that have emerged in the context of globalization? This is the problem posed by this article. Using the concepts of society of unpredictability and open subjectivity, the authors argue that unpredictability and uncontrol are marks of the macro and microsocial interactions in globalization. This change resulted from the suppression of religious beliefs from the original Christian tradition, as well as from the secularization of the human achievement. Therefore, a gap was established between Skinner’s suggestion of cultural design and society of unpredictability"].
