Abstract
Essa conversa pode gerar aprendizagens para todas as pessoas envolvidas no processo" ["The present paper discusses the possibilities (and the pitfalls) of interpreting a Bible text for the purpose of preparing a biblical narrative for children. Taking as a starting point the plot centered around Hagar, Ishmael, Isaac, Sarah, and Abraham (Genesis 21.8-21), we follow a hermeneutic exercise to try to clarify the points of discordance present in different versions of this story, both in established Bible translations and in versions created for children. From such exercise, we reflect on the need and importance of creating the space and time to talk with children about the narrative presented to them. This conversation may create learning opportunities for all people involved in the process"]
