Abstract
["This paper deals with Church mystery as a mystery of unity, following the hermeneutical key provided by II Vatican Council. From here on it underlines the relationship between universal and particular or local churches in order to understand both its roots and historical structure. This has been a core issue during the “Church century”, parciaticularly since II Vatican Council, because it lies beneath some other debates, for instance bishops/Pope relationship, etc. The A. intends to provide a clear understanding of particular/local concepts, as well as its consequences for a communion ecclesiology aimed towards a Church understood as communion of communions".]
