"¿Ayudaba el vestido de Juan Bautista y Jesús a reconocer el papel teológico que ellos jugaban en la palestina del siglo I? ¿Es posible establecer qué tipo de vestido usaban Juan y Jesús? ¿Ejerció la figura del Profeta Elías alguna influencia sobre el aparecer social del último profeta del Antiguo Testamento? Preguntas que articulan el relato. Este artículo desarrolla el tema del vestido a partir de las fuentes que el siglo I y II e.c. nos ofrecen: evangelios canónicos, evangelios no canónicos, fuentes rabínicas y extrabíblicas. Con base en los datos suministrados por las fuentes y los estudios de grandes especialistas se intenta responder a la significación social - teológico del vestido del Precursor y el Mesías." This essay develops the theme of the garment tapping the 1st and 2nd A.C. century sources: canonical gospels, apocryphal gospels, rabbinical and extra biblical sources alike. Following the data given by these sources and ressearches done by scholars this article tries to give an answer regarding the social-theological significance of the garments worn by the Forerunner and the Messiah."
