Resonancias marianas en los catecismos hispanoamericanos del siglo XVI [Marian resonances Hispanic century catechisms XVI]

Abstract

"El deseo de escribir estas líneas brotó espontáneamente desde la primera vez que hojeamos el artículo de J. M. Salagado, O.M.!., sobre La devoción a la Santísima Virgen María en el Siglo XVI a la luz de los Catecismos usados en España! . Dos celebraciones marianas, de amplias resonancIas en nuestra Patria, hicieron que el mismo cuajara rápidamente en finne propósito de iniciar su redacción y ofrecerlas como modesto y filial homenaje a nuestra Madre del Cielo. Nos referimos a la conmemoración de los 350 años del milagro de Luján. y a la celebración del Año Mariano Nacional. Ambos acontecimientos nos convencieron de la oportunidad de continuar aquella línea de investigación en los catecismos redactados, desde los albores mismos de la actividad misional, en las regiones del Nuevo Mundo descubiertas y colonizadas por España. Algunas afinnaciones del magisterio del Papa Juan Pablo JI y del Documento de Puebla nos ayudarán a enunciar con mayor claridad el intento que nos hemos fijado" ["The desire of writing sprang spontaneously from the first time I browsed the article by J.
