Abstract
["Just started reading Chapter III of the Constitution " Lumen Gentium " , entitled Hierarchical Constitution of the Episcopal Church and particularly , we find two statements summarizing the thought of the Council concerning the hierarchy. The first relates to the institution of the same by of Christ and his nature as a "ministry" for the sake of community. The second to the general theological synthesis within the which place all the conciliar doctrine on the hierarchy : "Christ the Lord , to feed and always increase the People God instituted various ministries in the Church , he ordered the good of the whole body "( first statement ) . "Ministers therefore possessing sacred power , serve his brothers , so that all who belong to the People of God, and therefore enjoy the true Christian dignity , free and orderly tend to the same end and attain salvation " ( second statement ) ( 18)".]
