Aunque en los últimos años la investigación de los teólogos parece haber tomado otra dirección, el problema de las relaciones entre mundo profano e historia santa, encamación y escatología, no ha perdido su interés; por el contrario, exige soluciones daras y precisas en vista de los nuevos interrogantes que se plantean. La presente nota no pretende dar una información exhaustiva sobre la materia. Nos contentaremos con presentar una breve reseña sobre los libros fundamentales, prestando especial atención a los que son más accesibles al lector de lengua española 1".
