Abstract
In reviewing papers in February 1953 the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, unexpectedly gave two opinions, one d.the Dean Gregorio Funes and the other of the Cure of Mercy, Dr. Mariano Medrano, dated, respectively, 18 and July 9, 1818. both opinions had been requested by the then Vicar and Governor in vacant Bishopric, Dr. John Damaso Fonseca, who wanted whether, given the difficulty of recourse to the Apostolic chair, had the Vicar Capitular sufficient powers to dispense the impairment of second degree of consanguinity with the atingencia first linking the suitors Don José and Maria Farias Pascuala Vallo Cara"]
