El futuro de la iglesia [The future of the church]

Abstract

"La pregunta por el futuro de la Iglesia esta estrechamente relacionada con el tema de la mision que el Senor ha encomendado realizar a los apostoles (Mc 16,15s y par.), pero sobre todo con la manera como ella debe ser realizada. El presente artículo tiene como objeto la teología actual de la mision en el contexto de la eclesiología renovada del Concilio Vaticano II. A1 mismo tiempo se presenta en este artículo una breve lectura de lo que ha sido la historia de la praxis misionera de la Iglesia desde la perspectiva de la inculturacion del Evangelio y de la evangelizacion de la cultura. Con estas reflexiones se quiere contribuir a fundamentar algunos principios que sirvan para comprender mejor la manera como la Iglesia, al realizar su mision, pueda participar en los grandes dialogos del futuro de la humanidad, tambien evidentemente en los dialogos en torno a la religion." "The question concerning the future of the Church is intimately connected with the theme of the mission given by the Lord to his apostles (Mc 16,15 s and parallels), and in a very special way, how it should be carried out. This article deals with the current theology of the mission in the context of the renewed ecclesiology of Vatican II. In the same time, it presents a short reading of what has been the history, related to the missionary praxis in the Church, from the perspective of the Gospel inculturation and the evangelization of Culture. With these reflections the author would like to contribute to the foundations of some principles which may help us to better understand the way the Church, through her mission, takes her share in the great dialogue on the future of mankind and in other dialogues on religion alike."
