Abstract
"The ecology or science of the (limited) earth resources will not bare its fruits, as it can be seen today, if it reduces itself to a pragmatic science looking for a "soft" exploitation of natural resources and legitimates the domination of the world by mankind. Moreover, we are now discovering how the ill-treatment towards nature is backfiring against the human being and, therefore, it is urgent to change his consciousness to make him remember that his salvation goes through the liberation of the creation as a whole. The cosmoteandric intuition of Raimon Panikkar is a key to achieve this change of consciousness because, on one hand, he reveals us the human cosmic dimension (as man is earth, cosmos and nature) and, on the other hand, he reveals us the human and divine dimension of the cosmos. This notion that takes reality as a whole is seen as ecosophy, meaning wisdom on earth and from the earth, a new way to understand the relationship Man-Cosmos without forgetting its relation to God. That is the way which enables us to acknowledge that the human being is a mikrokosmos (not a "little world", but a "reflex" of the world) and that the world is "body of God", the subject and the place of his presence."
