"El primer contacte que vam tenir amb la impressionant erudició bíblica i patrística del Dr. Josep Rius-Camps fou durant el seminari teològic de lectura de textos d’escriptors pre-nicens que el savi professor impartí en el curs de 1985- 1986 en les aules de la Facultat de Teologia de Catalunya, ara fa vint-i-cinc anys. Durant aquest seminari vam prendre consciència de la gran importància de les edicions crítiques dels textos manuscrits per a l’estudi de la història eclesiàstica".
