Abstract

"Desde a divulgação, no final dos anos 70, da Biblioteca de Nag Hammadi (BNH), os estudos sobre o gnosticismo, especialmente o cristão, tiveram destaque na discussão acadêmica. Este artigo, cujo referencial teórico são as obras de Hans Jonas e E.R. Dodds, trata da visão gnóstica sobre o enredo da Criação, e da peculiar e exagerada retórica a que a imaginação gnóstica tem de recorrer para moldar seu sincretismo descomedido" ["Since the publication of The Nag Hammadi Library (NHL) in the late 1970s, there has been an increased interest in academic studies on Gnosticism, especially the Christian variant.
