Abstract
I believe that it is highlighted the work of the French historian Claude Langlois, still little known among us and essential for understanding the phenomenon he called feminization of Catholicism in France. Prefaced by René Remond, who pointed out that the amplitude of the cropped period (nineteenth century) also leads to knowledge society of this period, the book Langlois, filled with charts, graphs and tables, combining quantitative and qualitative research. For those who are dedicated to studying gender and religious life, church-state relations or even the expansion of these congregations to other countries, is a key work"]
