Abstract
["On this article the author analyses Gregory Bateson’s double-bind concept, based on its insertion in a religious concept, more specifically, in the orthodox Christian tradition, whose greatest representative is Gregório Palamas. This contention justifies the dialogue between Paul Evdokimov and Vladimir Lossky’s Theologies, in order to demonstrate how the paradoxical forces present in religious speech function in absolute opposition to the general paradigm at work since the birth of modern sciences". ]
