Abstract
This article aims to provide an overview of the Chinese and Korean Buddhism in Brazil. Initially we will describe the existing data on Chinese and Korean immigration, as well as data from the temples visited on field research. In the Chinese case, the groups in Brazil can basically be divided into ethnic temples - the result of the organization of local initiatives -. representations and global presence of more institutions, more organized insertion strategies in Brazilian society in the Korean case, one of the main reasons for the near absence of Buddhist temples is assistance given by the churches to immigrants on their arrival. Finally the processes of acculturation of these Chinese and Korean temples will be compared with the Japanese case, with the intention of offering broader elements of reinterpretation of Buddhism in the Far East in Brazil"]
