"A Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia [IASD] no Brasil atualmente apresenta a maior membresia em números absolutos deste movimento mundial. É, também, um dos grupos mais expressivos dentro do protestantismo no Brasil, sendo que apenas duas tradições dentro do país apresentam um membresia maior: os luteranos e os batistas, excluídos os diversos ramos pentecostais. O quadro socio-econômico atual da membresia da IASD é bem diferente do perfil apresentado em sua inserção no Brasil. Há uma peculiaridade da chegada da IASD no Brasil que é sua relação com a comunidade alemã estabelecida no Brasil durante o século XIX e início do XX".
