Abstract
"Nosso propósito neste artigo é discutir, usando os pressupostos do Paradigma do Mercado Religioso, que têm em Berger (1985), Finke & Stark (1988, 1992) e Stark & Iannaccone (1994) seus principais formuladores, as transformações que se realizam nos modelos de religiosidade em termos de moldagem dos seus discursos e práticas religiosas, a partir de modificações na constituição interna da esfera da religião no Brasil no final do século XX. Privilegia-se, aqui, a definição institucional do fenômeno religioso, sendo nosso objetivo demonstrar que, acima de todos os fatores que influenciam a dinâmica da esfera da religião, têm preponderância aqueles ligados ao nível de concorrência entre organizações religiosas e suas influências sobre a preocupação das mesmas com as questões de sobrevivência institucional, manutenção e expansão dos espaços ocupados no campo religioso e na sociedade" ["Our purpose in this article is to discuss, using the assumptions of the Market Paradigm Religion, who are in Berger (1985), Finke & Stark (1988, 1992) and Stark & Iannaccone (1994) its main formulators, the transformations that take place in models religiosity in terms of shaping their religious discourses and practices from changes in the internal structure of the sphere of religion in Brazil in the late twentieth century. Is privileged here, the institutional definition of religious phenomena, and our goal demonstrate that, above all factors that influence the dynamics of ball religion take precedence those linked to the level of competition among organizations religious and their influences on the same concern with issues of institutional survival, maintenance and expansion of occupied spaces in field religion and society"]
