Evaluando el Pacto Global en Argentina [Assessing the Global Compact in Argentina]

Abstract

"El presente trabajo expone la experiencia del Pacto Global en la Argentina y los resultados del proceso de lanzamiento de dicha iniciativa en el país. Para ello,en primer lugar se ilustrará la importancia de la misma a nivel mundial desde su lanzamiento en el año 1999 y el compromiso que ha generado en el empresariado de más de 40 países. A continuación se presenta un breve resumen de “estado del arte”en materia de responsabilidad social empresaria de las principales iniciativas y normas internacionales a fin de contextualizar el aporte del Pacto Global en este campo. En segundo lugar se dará cuenta del trabajo realizado por el PNUD,la CEPAL y el Grupo Promotor del Pacto Global para llegar a la efectiva firma del Pacto Global el 23 de abril de 2004,brindando las herramientas para comparar este proceso y sus resultados con el resto de los países de la región y del mundo. Por último,se presenta un análisis del perfil de las entidades que hoy forman parte de la Red Argentina del Pacto Global,destacándose el perfil empresario de la iniciativa y el carácter federal de la misma" ["This paper presents the experience of the Global Compact in Argentina and the results of the launch of this initiative in the country.
