Abstract
["26/09/07 Participated in the 17th Forum of Employability of Disabled People, organized by Professionals, which, incidentally, does an excellent job in this field. For the 2000 Census, IBGE used a very broad definition and reached 24.5 million people with disabilities. The concept of the UN, narrower, are about 18 million. Of these, 9 million are of working age and only 1.3 million works (estimate). Brazil has a quota law that requires businesses to hire 2% to 5% of its workforce between the disabled, which would give about 700 thousand hires. It is estimated to be only 300,000 formal jobs. Why are you being so difficult this insertion? The problems are connected to employers, people with disabilities and public policy".]
