Abstract
“A mentira traz vantagens indiscutíveis. “Ou seja, quando enganamos a nós mesmos"" ["The SEE (18/10/2006) magazine, yellow pages, interview with the American philosopher David Livingstone Smith, publicizing that the human being is by nature a liar and the lie is "the pillar of social relations." Affirms that we are all "programmed" to deceive since the dawn of humanity, is to protect us, is to take advantage. The classic example is the political liar, lying by profession. "The lie brings indisputable advantages. Good liars are more popular and successful. Have more social status and better wages "And more:. We lie best when we do not know we're lying. "That is when we deceive ourselves""]
