"Ao se falar de Ética na Gestão, faz-se necessário distinguir alguns pontos importantes. Gestão, Administração e Gerenciamento, não são sinônimos, embora infelizmente seja normal nivelar grosseiramente os três conceitos. Mas, por que é importante essa distinção para a questão ética? A resposta é incisiva: porque para se viabilizar o resgate da Ética nas Empresas esta é forma mais convincente. E é simples de se entender, pois a Gestão (gestain, do grego, conduzir) tem duas vertentes distintas, mas complementares, o Governo ou Administração, e o Controle ou Gerenciamento. Gestão é Governo com Controle. Governo não é Controle. Quem quer “conduzir” bem deve ter Governo, isto é, saber onde quer chegar, o que quer realizar.
