Etude des usages bibliques d'Irénée de Lyon à l'aide de Biblindex

Biblia Patristica provides an exhaustive list of citations and biblical allusions in the corpus of Irenaeus, which may be searched through thanks to the statistical analysis tools of Biblindex, online index of scriptural references in Christian writings of the Antiquity and the Middle Ages (http: / /www.biblindex.org). First, the scope of Irenaeus’ Bible will be defined, looking for his favorite books ; then will be shown, on the example of Ephesians 1, 10, that in order to produce a relevant study, a thin granularity has to be chosen to deal with verses constellations underlying the argumentation. The last part initiates a presentation of the biblical profiles specific to each work or work part, opening on methodological questions raised by the application of mathematical approaches to a patristic corpus.

Biblia Patristica offre un relevé exhaustif des citations et allusions bibliques dans le corpus d'Irénée, que les outils d'analyse statistique de Biblindex, index en ligne des références scripturaires dans les écrits chrétiens de l'Antiquité et du Moyen Age (http://www.biblindex.org) permettent d'explorer. Après avoir tenté de repérer les contours et les livres privilégiés de la Bible d'Irénée, on montrera sur l’exemple d’Éphésiens 1, 10 qu’une étude pertinente doit utiliser une granularité fine et descendre au niveau des constellations de versets qui sous-tendent l’argumentation. La dernière partie initiera une présentation des profils bibliques propres à chaque œuvre ou portion d’œuvre, ouvrant sur les questionnements méthodologiques suscités par l’application d’approches mathématiques à un corpus patristique.
