Abstract
[" With these words, some Latin American women testify to the multiple discrimination suffered in today's job market, both to access and to maintain stable employment , and all this because of their sexual orientation. The analysis of marginalization and discrimination groups or specific groups of women , has always been a concern for UNIFEM worldwide and particularly in Latin America. It is part of the effort to clarify the erroneous concept paradoxically quite widespread , even within organizations and women's movements, that women constitute a collective homogeneous . While it is true that historically perpetuated the patriarchal structure in most societies , leads many women share similar problems of domination and exploitation , would be a mistake to consider that this is the sole cause or form of discrimination exists or that this equally affects all women . Besides gender, Latin American women are discriminated against by their ethnicity , social class and sexual orientation".]
