Abstract
What difference would that really believed that God is a God of creative , rich and full non-violence? If we truly believed this, how would it change our lives and the life of the world ? What difference would that really believed that God wants us to promote what Martin Luther King Jr. called the Beloved Community , where everyone will sit together in the Grand Banquet and rejoice in their differences without resorting to violence? What difference would that actually believed that God deeply desires a purified spirituality of violence at its roots , as expressed by the Bible scholar Nancy Schreck , OSF ? How would it change our lives if we really believe that God wants our integrity as individuals, as cultures and as cosmos, and that is why we call the ministry of the powerful , bold , creative , contemplative and prophetic nonviolence ? We live in a world full of violence, both outside - violence physical , emotional , psychological , institutional and structural - and within ourselves. This book aims to provide a way to recognize the deep-seated patterns of internal and external violence, and think about the possibilities offered by active non- violence in such a world"]
