Abstract
["Polis Institute Coordinator - Institute of Studies, Training and Consulting in Social Policies I mean it's also a treat here . I've already been here about eight years ago in this room , discussing the integration of Mercosur , at the time I was president of the Brazilian Association of NGOs , and we value very much. There is now a director of the association present here too, attending this debate. It is truly an issue that concerns a lot to the civil society, the role of civil society in situations of Governments seeking social change. How the articulation of civil society is made with government initiatives , and everything else . I'll be very synthetic , I'll put about three discussion points. But there is indeed a point that is the expectation . After four election campaigns in Brazil we chose a president who was metallurgist who built the main Central Workers , who built the first mass party in Brazil that is the Workers Party , and he had a purpose, a program, a firm determination to change the situation of inequality, poverty , social injustice in our country. In the previous three years , Lula lost , lost narrowly , but lost . Consider the role of media in the hands of the conservatives , consider that part of our society is a society that does not want change and must be considered a power structure that guarantees the inequality - one of the world's largest in Brazil".]
