Abstract
Based on empirical research conducted by one hundred semi-directive interviews with individuals from different social groups, this article introduces and discusses the Using a new concept to address the social stratification in Current Chilean society, which is the "positional inconsistency." with this notion an uneasy feeling positional designated roughly permanent and widespread in most of the social strata, specific characteristics which distinguish it from other processes Similar (statutory fear, vulnerability, exclusion, mobility between others). An experience that, although common in its expression, is however generated by a plurality of factors leading to a significant structural phenomenon"]
