明治期における東本願寺の清国布教について 松本白華・北方心泉を中心に

Abstract

This paper examines the Buddhist mission of Sinshu-Otani Sect （真宗大谷派）, Higashi-honganji （東本願寺） in Qing China, focusing on the activities and the related documents of the missionary monks such as Hakka Matsumoto （松本白華） and Shinsen Kitakata （北方心泉） who were from Kaga （加賀）. This paper will also demonstrate how the Higashi-honganji （東本願寺） started their missionary activities in the Meiji Restoration period, then through comparing to Nishi-honganji （西本願寺）, figure out the features of the missionary activities of Higashi-honganji （東本願寺） in Qing China.
