Abstract
The Belfast Peace Agreement, or Good Friday Agreement of 1998, is generally considered to have stopped the armed conflict in Northern Ireland. Based on conflict resolution literature, this paper analyzes the treaty’s strengths and weaknesses, assessing its reputation as the document which brought peace to a decades-old conflict.
