Abstract

"Se realiza un diagnóstico de la situación actual del pensamiento fi losófi co y cómo repercute en lo que signifi ca ser persona humana. El campo del profesional sanitario, por su propia naturaleza pragmática, se nutre de y refl eja una fi losofía sobre quién es la persona enferma a la que se atiende y cuál es su dignidad, sea consciente o no de hacerlo así; por ello, es de particular interés estar alerta sobre cómo incide en este terreno la bioética, que no debe tener como sede propia, única y exclusiva, el ámbito académico, sino que ha de inspirar y, paradójicamente inspirarse, a partir del gran público, del hombre de la calle.
