Abstract

"Frente al vaciamiento empirista del concepto de dignidad, en el artículo se emprende su rehabilitación acudiendo a sus orígenes históricos y raíces ontológicas en la naturaleza humana. El examen de los principales códigos jurídicos hoy vigentes confi rma la relevancia de la dignidad de cara a la tarea de proveerles de una fundamentación adecuada. Por último, se estudia su aplicación al desarrollo del embrión en todas sus fases". ["The paper undertakes a rehabilitation of the concept of dignity by researching the historical origines and its ontological roots in the human nature, against its utilitarian emptiness. The inquiry into the principal juridical codes confi rms the relevance of the dignity in orden to fournish them their adaquate foundation.
