Abstract

"Comienzo por agradecer la invitación para esta conferencia a los hermanos y viejos amigos de Cuba. ¡Cuán bueno y cuán grato es volvernos a ver! Me tomo la libertad, por ser esta la primera conferencia del encuentro, de agradecer, a nombre de las generaciones de protestantes evangélicos latinoamericanos de hoy, la visión de entonces y el esfuerzo de los hermanos de esta isla para acoger hace ochenta años, el 21 de junio, a los evangélicos de entonces empeñados en construir una nueva iglesia. Ese agradecimiento se extiende a los hermanos y hermanas que acogieron a los abuelos de esta generación en sus casas, a las señoras que cocinaron y a las que pusieron las flores en las mesas" ["I begin by thanking the invitation to this conference brothers and old friends of Cuba.How good and how pleasant it is meeting again!
