Abstract
Volume 12 is devoted to the situation of the Jews of Northern and Western Europe between the summer of 1942 and the Allied liberation. During this period the Germans deported the majority of the Jews from Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and France to the concentration camps in the East. Only in Denmark did a large proportion of Jews succeed in escaping.
