Abstract

"Vengo de Cuba, pero no hablaré nada de Cuba, me toca hablar de la estrategia política del imperialismo. No voy a referirme mucho a los sucesos, a las noticias, sino a las características y a los problemas de este aspecto de la acción imperialista, porque el propósito de nuestro seminario es trabajar con los problemas, con los modos de identificarlos, entenderlos y enfrentarlos. Cuando decimos “estrategia política del imperialismo” estamos dividiendo nuestro tema, una práctica que es necesaria en todo estudio; aquí se analizarán la estrategia económica del imperialismo, la estrategia con los medios de comunicación, la estrategia militar, la estrategia internacional; esos son los temas generales. Pero no olvidamos que en la realidad no sucede así, los aspectos no existen ni funcionan separados. Para ganar objetivos económicos los imperialistas emprenden acciones militares y políticas, para ganar objetivos políticos realizan acciones económicas, para mantener engañado a todo el mundo utilizan sus medios de comunicación, con el objetivo de lograr que uno esté de acuerdo con su estrategia militar, política o económica, a partir de lo que se aprende y desaprende en los medios de comunicación. Es decir, en el estudio separamos por aspectos, en la realidad todo esto hay que componerlo otra vez. Como a mi me toca el primer aspecto, les ruego que tengan muy en cuenta todo esto. Al analizar y debatir los siguientes, ustedes tendrán siempre la posibilidad de comprobar qué me faltó decir, cómo se ve un fenómeno desde otro ángulo, o en qué me equivoqué. Para estudiar hay que ir por partes.
