Abstract
En este artículo hacemos fundamentalmente referencia a la TL en su contexto católico" ["Theology of Liberation (TL) has two historical times: a time of birth (1962-1984) and now another re-definition and maturation of new tasks (1984-2002). Considering the ecclesial context, the period of birth of the TL matches a wonderful time for reform in the Catholic Church. The time of redefinition and new tasks of the TL, however, operates in a period of strong counter, which explicitly seeks to eradicate TL. The Reformation and the Counter Reformation in the Church have, in turn, clearly an economic, social and political context. Here we discuss only the context, not the root of TL, is and will always be the preferential option for the poor and the experience of God within a praxis of liberation, as discussed below. In this article, we refer primarily to the TL in the Catholic context"]
