Situación de la teología cristiana en la América Latina [Situation of Christian theology in Latin America]

Abstract

"Del 21 al 25 de enero del 2005, antes del Forum Mundial Social de Porto Alegre, habrá en la misma ciudad un Foro Mundial de Teología y Liberación. El tema del Foro será “la contribución de las religiones a un posible mundo nuevo”. Participarán unos doscientos teólogos, no solamente cristianos, sino también de otras religiones. Estarán representados todos los continentes. Es interesante conocer la fundamentación expuesta en el documento oficial de convocatoria enviado a los teólogos invitados: Durante muchos años, millones de personas e instituciones del mundo entero se encuentran entre la nostalgia y la desesperación. Pareciera que el capitalismo neoliberal se impuso como el último agente de la Historia. Incluso se llegó a decir y pensar que sería el fin de la Historia.
