¿Cómo enfrentar al imperio? [How to confront Empire?]

Abstract

"Me han pedido que hable sobre cómo enfrentar al imperio. Se trata de un tema muy amplio para el que no tengo respuestas sencillas. Cuando hablamos de enfrentar al imperio es necesario identificar a qué nos referimos con el término “imperio”. ¿Al gobierno de los Estados Unidos (y sus satélites europeos), al Banco Mundial, al Fondo Monetario Internacional, a la Organización Mundial del Comercio y a las corporaciones multinacionales? ¿O hablamos de algo más que eso? El imperio ha sembrado en muchos países otras cabezas subsidiarias, varias secuelas de nacionalismo, fanatismo religioso, fascismo y, por supuesto, terrorismo. Todo esto va de la mano con el proyecto de globalización corporativa. Permítanme explicar lo que quiero decir. India, la democracia más grande del mundo, ocupa en este momento el primer lugar en el proyecto de globalización.
