Abstract
O vislumbre do resultado adquirido pelo trabalho científico não deve ficar oculto nos laboratórios, mas ser colocado a serviço da vida como um todo" ["Bioethical reflection, directed toward the present and the future, allows for an ethical analysis of the desired development of a science that does not exclude people from benefits, and aims at the promotion of quality of life. This is the perspective of this study, based on Hans Jonas thought, which helps us to include future generations in our present actions with responsibility, and demonstrates that Jesus Christ teachings establish inalienable values for bioethics, due to its dimension of universality and care. It defends that all human development, encouraged and justified by Our Lord God, cannot place itself at the service of people’s exclusion or the destruction of life. The glimpse of results obtained by scientific work must not remain occult in laboratories, but must instead be placed at the service of life as a whole"]
