Abstract

This piece offers a theoretical course of thought on the problem of contemporary culture. As such the article serves as an introduction to a series of concepts necessary for the comprehension of relations among popular cultures, mass culture and hegemonic culture. The main idea projects the important role of dynamic and global study of culture in distintic dimensions of analysis, and as the necessity of counting on an adecuate theorization on hegemony.
