"Brasileño, monje benedictino, biblista y teólogo, fue en la década de los setenta secretario y consejero de D. Helder Cámara para el ecumenismo y relación con otras culturas y religiones. Es confundador del Centro Ecuménico de Estudios Bíblicos en Brasil, Consejero nacional por más de 25 años de la Pastoral de la Tierra y de las Comunidades eclesiales de Base, y miembro de la Comisión teológica de la Asociación Ecuménica de Teólogos del Tercer Mundo(ASETT). Ahora trata especialmente de ahondar y esclarecer la relación entre la teología de la liberación y el pluralismo religioso. Autor de unos 30 libros. La entrevista le ha sido hecha en Vitoria, con ocasión del XIV Foro Religioso" ["Brazilian Benedictine monk, Bible scholar and theologian, was in the seventies secretary and counselor D.
