Abstract
Those are the only ones in the rigor of terms, be called biotechnologies. But now usually given to that term in a more restrictive sense, so it does not refer only to the changes in the genetic code of individuals or species by molecular biology techniques. This terminological precision is important because, in the first sense, biotechnology has always been. When the farmers of all ages have selected seeds, or grafted trees, or where farmers have attempted to improve animal breeds by selecting those with certain qualities, or across different animal species, what else were doing but manipulating the inheritance of biological species, plant or animal? All yearn for the taste of certain fruits that we ate in our youth, now abandoned by their low production, or resist unripe time, etc"]
