Abstract
The WSF emerged in 2001 in the wake of the anti-globalization movement. In 1996 it took place in Chiapas, organized by the EZLN, the first Intercontinental Encounter for Humanity and Against Neoliberalism, which was followed by others in Spain and Brazil. In 1999 took place in Seattle mass protest that paralyzed the activity of the World Trade Organization, just after themselves known the Multilateral Agreement on Investment (MAI), considered by many as the constitutional document of the new transnational capitalism. And almost every year have been counter-producing alternatives to the dominant order while they were taking shape various networks called global movement as Peoples' Global Action or Via Campesina"]
