Abstract

"O presente artigo apresenta uma abordagem panorâmica acerca das principais transformações que a religião vem experimentando nas últimas décadas do século XX e na primeira década do século XXI. O momento histórico em que nos encontramos é marcadamente caracterizado por profundas mudanças nos sistemas de valores e nos ideais da humanidade. As religiões tradicionais, outrora reconhecidas como produtoras de sentido experimentam uma profunda crise. A religião, que no passado era recebida como herança dos pais ou imposta pela sociedade, torna-se agora objeto de escolha e livre opção das pessoas. Compreender o processo que ocasionou/a essas mudanças no campo religioso é o principal objetivo deste artigo" ["This article presents a panoramic approach on the main transformations that religion has been experiencing in the last decades of the 20th Century and in the first decade of the 21st Century.
