Educação médica em bioética [Bioethics in medical education]

Abstract

"O ensino de ética e bioética no curso médico tem sido motivo de intensos debates nos últimos anos.Este fato é motivado por mudanças que vêem ocorrendo nos campos sociais,culturais,econômicas,tecnológicas e políticos. Faz-se imperioso melhor qualificar a formação ética do profissional médico por ser essencial em seu labor cotidiano ,bem como no relacionamento com pacientes e seus familiares e a comunidade em geral .O século XXI pede por profissionais habilitados para tomarem decisões prudentes frente aos dilemas morais relacionados à saúde humana.O propósito central deste ensaio é o de discutir as alternativas de ensino de bioética no curso de medicina" ["This paper discuses the importance of incorporating the study of bioethics within the training for health professionals, particularly physicians, considering that their training is marked by technicism and distancing from humanistic values. It shows that transformation of today’s educational parameters, which are focused on instruction, is essential for achieving changes in paradigms that involve both teachers and students, in relation to knowledge. This is especially so because the Cartesian perspective that guides academic tradition tends to annul the capacity to act in a transdisciplinary manner"]
