Abstract
After the Christian conquest, in the north of the Andalusian province of Córdoba, a series of single churches of one nave divided by cross arches together with a wood ceiling of two slopes and an apse appeared. These architectural models spread during XIVth and XVIth centuries in the region due to the drover´s roads, from what they are called “de la mesta”, for its relation with the drover´s roads that spread in Castile, La Mancha, Extremadura and north Andalusian. The aim of this work is to study the acoustic conditions of these architectural model, starting from values measured in situ and by means of computer simulations in one of them: the Santiago Church in Dos Torres (Córdoba), which has been recently restored for cultural activities. In the same way we propose architectural solutions to correct some acoustic disfunctions and to obtain a better adaptation for theatrical and musical uses.
