Abstract
The rediscovery of cultural analysis has changed radically the basic ideas of sociology of democracy Ia. Submitted long as end point of the stories, as frnalidad of any development process, democracy is back apprehended according to a particularistic mode (1) linked to a culture, could become universal only through a profound transformation from other cultures. The consequences of such investment perspective are clearly revealed: apply the universal triumph of the demoeracia supposed allocate henceforth to Ia culture "producer democracy "to ensure absolute superiority over other cultures and therefore a capacity to diffuse and generalized relegating the phenomena of authoritarianism to the condition of slag resulting in less advanced, less effective cultures, or at If maladaptive. In this framework are located, among others, the thesis "The history frn" proclaiming the universal value high AI democratic and liberal adventure experienced by the West (2); also at this point the hypothesis authoritarian cultures is inserted or at least considered in its natural afrnidad policies such practices neopatrimonial, clientelario or autocratic"]
