Abstract

"The paper explores the historical perspective of the development and dynamics of Indonesian national law includding with its negotiation with Islamic law. Islamic law as a legal order that guided and adhered to by the majority of the population and the people of Indonesia is both the law that has been living within the community. It has also become the part of the teachings and beliefs of Islam that exists in the national law as well as the source of guidance and development."
