Abstract
Will for its intense activity in the service of defense of the colonies and by their essayistic productions and literary criticism that posterity remember Luciano Cordeiro. Already the two travel narratives - Travel: Spain and France (1874) and Travel: France, Bavaria, Austria and Italy (1875) - the founder and the Lisbon Geographical Society are truly unknown. In these projects the particular geography of the Portuguese look polygraph traveling in Europe and whose reconstruction is the target this study. The objectives pursued by this work are therefore the perception and reconstruction of Luciano Cordeiro space, particularly in Spain, trying to elucidate what the work is of geographical nature, resting on one descriptive and realistic analysis of the landscape, and what is literary or fictional nature"]
