Abstract
Neste contexto, as questões demográficas não ganham um destaque significativo no actualmente espectro alargado da reflexão bioética" ["Bioethics, since its formal inception, with the introduction of neologism that is instituted in 1970-1971, until now, has always been strongly characterized by its biomedical dimension, presenting itself as an ethical reflection on the progress of the implications biotechnology to humans. Incidentally, this a biomedical dimension is already present in one of the genealogies which is its prehistory, from 1914, when a US judge sets out a first formulation of what will be called "informed consent" in the case of misuse of X-ray, and prevails over the four decades of its development and diversification that accompanied its expansion throughout the world. In this context, demographic issues do not earn a significant highlight in the wide spectrum of current bioethical reflection"]
