Abstract
"O recente desenvolvimento tecnológico que atingiu a área da Genética Forense tem permitido a análise de um número cada vez maior de amostras biológicas, com uma taxa de sucesso crescente, não podendo ser ignorada a importância que a informação genética tem para fins de identificação e a sua relevância para o sistema judicial. Neste contexto, são bem conhecidas as vantagens das bases de dados de perfis de adn e o impacto que as mesmas podem ter. Se por um lado as bases de dados para fins de investigação criminal têm permitido a investigação do crime, as bases de dados para fins de identificação civil têm-se revelado de extrema utilidade na identificação de cadáveres e restos cadavéricos de pessoas desaparecidas e de vítimas de crimes, bem como no âmbito de desastres de massas" ["The recent technological development that hit the area of Forensic Genetics has allowed the analysis of an increasing number of biological samples with a growing success rate and can not be ignored the importance that genetic information is for identification purposes and its relevance to the system judicial. In this context, the advantages of well-known DNA profile databases and the impact they may have. On the one hand databases for criminal investigation purposes have allowed the investigation of the crime databases for civil identification purposes have proved extremely useful in the identification of corpses and cadaverous remains of missing persons and victims of crimes as well as in the context of mass disasters"]

Export search results
